An accomplished complex litigation attorney and corporate executive, Christi Cannon is leading the Allēus team responsible for changing the way healthcare providers, employers, and payers approach medical debt revenue recovery. Christi’s unique background contributes to her ability to analyze the Mass Tort litigation environment and complex business intelligence in order to translate that information into key healthcare revenue recovery opportunities. As CEO and General Counsel, she oversaw the company’s successful achievement of HITRUST CSF Certification.

Christi brings more than a decade of complex litigation experience to her role at Allēus.  In her law practice, she engaged in mass tort, antitrust, securities, and consumer litigation representing consumers, small businesses, sophisticated individual and institutional investors, and advised Boards of Directors of national and international companies, for the firms Chitwood & Harley, Troutman Sanders, Holzer Holzer & Cannon, and Schiffrin & Barroway.  Among other standout cases, she litigated In re IPO Securities Litigation (S.D.N.Y.), In re Oxford Health Plans Securities Litigation (S.D.N.Y.), In re Carpets Antitrust Litigation (N.D. Ga.), and In re BankAmerica Corp. Securities Litigation, (E.D. Mo.).

While practicing law Christi developed a strong appreciation for class and mass litigation vehicles as a means of efficient litigation, and an interest in the sophisticated legal and administrative services that often are required to resolve class and mass litigation successfully. Building on that interest Christi transitioned from her legal practice to a decade-long tenure at Garden City Group (GCG), a global leader in legal administration services led by some of the most accomplished legal administration professionals in the industry. GCG ultimately appointed her Senior Vice President & Chief Client Officer, and she served on the company’s senior management, leadership, and executive teams. Christi’s recognized acumen in legal services client management enabled her to establish and grow key client relationships, contribute to the company’s strategic planning and growth, report to GCG’s NYSE-listed parent company, and manage sophisticated legal administration programs.  She led the company’s business development and marketing teams, and she was instrumental in improving inter-department communications and efficiencies.

From a program administration standpoint, Christi designed and managed several precedent-setting programs for GCG clients, including a claimant outreach program for the Deepwater Horizon Economic Claims Program that was established to assist thousands of claimants in resolving pending claims arising from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
